Journal Cups-Blue

 

‘The Journal Cups’,

An installation piece of thirty cups made from sheets of paper from a personal journal, covered with porcelain-like casting compound, leaving the blue ink of the handwriting barely visible. The finishing layer is a mixture of beeswax and dammar. The cups are not made to be used, but are to be seen like a journal : a cup for each day of a month.         ( 30 pieces, height 18 cm each)

 

‘Conversation Pieces’,

Cups, saucers and glasses stacked together, like after a long diner, ‘conversation pieces’  are made of rice paper and porcelain-like casting compound. ( height about 35 cm each )
